Err yeah the length of absence just grows and grows. A lot has happened since my last journal which was nearly a year ago would be cause for concern if that was not the case. I'm back in full time employment which explains most of the absences, and I've finished most of my extra curricular hobbies. I've completed transcribing Conquered City, and started on another book The Pink Triangle by Richard Plant. I've also completed several online Esperanto courses including the Duolingo one, so Mi povas parolas Esperanton. Sed mi bezonas plu praktiko.

Its an interesting language and I look forward to progressing with it. Other than that I've been doing quite a lot of reading, I managed to finish all five volumes of Les Miserables which I quite enjoyed, the musicals don't do it justice, though they certainly try. I was surprised by how much the 2013 one crammed in, but it is five volumes worth of material so something had to go.

Gxis poste!

Been a while

Been quite a while actually, sorry about that. I took a break to focus on a short story for a competition, finished it but really didn't like it after proof reading, still it was good practice. After that I kinda started drawing blanks so haven't written much, though I have been visited by some local wildlife so I was able to keep up my photography so it wasn't a complete rot.

Oh I was going to give that NaNoWriMo a go this year since I had a few ideas started but got side tracked, maybe next year. I'm currently busy transcribing one of my favourite books online, Conquered City by Victor Serge, I'm about half way (though someone else did the first four chapters) page wise. If you like historical novels I recommend checking it out. libcom.org/library/conquered-c…

Been practising my German and Esperanto too, I've just about started translating German texts, or rather bits of German texts. I hope to be back to writing again soonish.

I'm just on a farm, its a nice farm, fields of wheat like golden sticks bathed in sunlight. There's a tire swing, a small apple orchard to the side, and every morning the Rooster crows, plenty of room for me to run around and plenty of cats to chase up trees and bones to gnaw on. I'm sorry but you can't visit me.

Anyway I am busying with a short story for a writing competition so probably won't be uploading much writing till its over. I have a few more photo's though so I'm not disappearing or anything. Also I am continuing my career as a fence painter and think my brush strokes have come quite a long way.

This is a bit late but I've been spending most of my time painting. No not portraits or landscapes, just fences, panel after panel of Fences. That and I've been working on my TEFL courses, my Grammar assignments are proving to be quick tricky. And I've taken up another German language course with Duolingo. Speaking of which I recommend the site if you wish to learn another language, its structured well, has many lessons, its set up like a fun game complete with experience points, bonuses and levels and is completely free. Check it out if your interested in learning another language www.duolingo.com/

So in DA news I've finished this years NaPoWriMo skargill.deviantart.com/galler… and one of the poems for it got a DLR (Deviant Literature Recommendation) Viva the Social (Media) Revolution!Ladies and Gents this here is my brand new plan
It’s guaranteed to take down the man
First up we list all his wrongs
In a protest album full of remixed songs
Step two is even better
Hit him with a petition and an open letter
For step three we’ll ruin his trip to Tahiti
By daubing his beach house in artistic graffiti
And when he’s reeling like a cat in the rain
We’ll move in for the kill with a human chain
And expose him as a man most bitter
With paint bombs and a ton of glitter
And of course we’ll be coordinating via facebook and twitter
which is surprising as well as flattering.

In other news I've been taking photo's again mostly of nature and I've been writing and finishing several essays which I might post up here once I've tweaked them to be more compatible with Deviation format.

An April Fool

2 min read
Been a bit quiet recently, sorry about that been working on my teaching course since the deadline is getting close. I was also on a seven week course about poetry during the First World War, it was very interesting and it's given me a lot to think about, and hopefully will improve my own scribbles.

I'm in NaPoWriMo again. Last year I did it and managed to get through the month skargill.deviantart.com/galler… but a lot of what I write I didn't really like so I didn't upload them. This year I plan to go a step further not just complete thirty poems but complete and then edit them to a point that I'm satisfied with them.

If you want to join in too there's still time the official website is here www.napowrimo.net/ and the DA Group here napowrimo.deviantart.com/

Oh and in other news my friend DurtyDeeds durtydeeds93.deviantart.com/ has published a book of poetry "Modern Habitual Disenchantment" its on Google's ebook service. I personally find his stuff quite interesting so you should check it out, newbookjournal.com/2014/03/mod…

Good luck!
