Playing among the flowers
Pure innocence born

AloneThe world is so big
Never knowing who to trust
I will stay alone

Glass marbles, small works of art
Lost, no longer mine.

BreakdownShe is not insane,

She’s a beautiful breakdown,

Caught in your evil whims.

Insomnia Through the darkened skies,
light shall flood the plains of sleep.
The sun has risen.

Daylight beckons them,
coaxes dreamers form the deep.
Back to life's prison.

Morning's bright disguise,
holds evil within its keep.
False reality.

Conscious, they condemn
their minds to be led like sheep.
Night's mortality.

Poetry Collection Part 1A small stone that sits on the night stand
Sends despair through this quiet land.

Dots, lines, and simple shapes on this rock.
It sends the crows into flock.

Its design is normal, but its powers come from hell
And is the reason why my mind and soul fell.
This little painted stone is a requiemnel.

“The Amulet.”

The hunters return home.
Their hands chilled to the bone.
Dogs worn out.
The two men pout.
Rifles never fired.
Makes the men tired.
To much walking to much waiting.
They spent their whole day hating.
They can see the town covered in snow.
But they have no kill to show.

The Irony Of LifeIt's so ironic
that living my daily life
sucks my life away

Two haikuMurderous conscience
Hands already too bloody
To pull the trigger

Cold blades on cold hearts
Will they be their undoing
Are they their escape?

The Canals dried up
The face was a smudged lens
But Mars is still Red

I've been toying with stories about Mars for years, and when Unseen Writers decided for a Mars Theme [link] I decided to see if I could get something written to meet the deadline. Whilst working on that I got the idea to try a Haiku something I've never done before. As to my obsession with the Red Planet I blame Red Faction, Total Recall and the Martian Chronicles.

Glad you like it, I've had no practice with haiku's at all and was a bit worried I was ignoring a rule or something I hadn't known about. I think I'll try experimenting with it more often.
