T-34German anti-tank weaponry proved ineffective
Their military intelligence was clearly defective
Threatened more by a lack of drivers with instruction
Then from Axis attempts at destruction
The drivers, crews and commanders were poor
Undermining the power of the T-34
The great Dictators Machiavellian urges
And predilection for arbitrary purges
Had broken his own armies back
Leaving the tank alone to counterattack
With little in the way of support
To give the Fascists its retort
From the city of Lenin to southern Stalingrad
The fighting was fierce the situation quite bad
A Tank alone cannot win a battle
Though it makes one hell of a rattle
The T-34 looked like a last chancer
Such a shame the Germans upgraded their Panzer
Armed with deadly and more powerful tanks
The Germans carved through Soviet armoured ranks
Equipped too with much better cannon
Caused many crews to take abandon
But the factory worker would provide vital aide
The T-34 would get its own upgrade
Facing 75mm guns and steel

Which is why she walks through the chalky soot of the smashed city around her. This all
